CDSTI Membership is open to persons bearing the names Duncan and Robertson and to those bearing the names of the accepted Septs of the Clan Donachaidh, either by parentage or marriage, and all lineal descendants in the female line and their spouses.
The accepted Septs of Clan Donnachaidh include the names Collier, Colyear, Connachie, Conochie, Cunnison, Dobbie, Dobbin, Dobie, Dobieson, Dobinson, Dobson, Donachie, Donachy, Donnachie, Duncanson, Dunnachie, Hobson, Inches, Kynoch, MacConachie, MacConchie, MacConechy, MacConich, MacConnachie, MacCullich, MacDonachie, MacGlashan, MacInroy, MacIver, MacIvor, MacJames, MacLagan, MacOnachie, MacRob, MacRobb, MacRobbie, MacRobert, MacRobie, MacWilliam, Read, Reed, Reid, Robb, Robbie, Roberson, Roberts, Robertson, Robinson, Robson, Roy, Stark, Tonnach, Tonnochy, or other variations in the spelling of these names.
Classes
of Membership
CDSTI membership includes the following classes:
Individual Membership requires that the individual be eighteen years of age or older. It carries the right to cast one vote on all matters for which the membership is entitled to vote.
Family Membership requires that the applicant for membership be an adult male or female of a household with at least one other family member sharing the same abode. Both family members, if over eighteen years of age, have the right to vote on all matters for which the membership is entitled to vote.
Associate Membership allows a person who does not meet the membership qualifications above to participate in all CDSTI activities except voting or holding office.
Honorary Membership is based on approval by the membership after election by the Board of Directors.
